Earlier today, we posted this story of Jarell Brooks, 19 years old who saved a young mother and her two kids during the theather massacre that happened during the midnight showing of “The Dark Knight Rises”.  We sorta had an interesting question… what happened to her boyfriend? According to news reports, some said the boyfriend got seperated from his girlfriend and kids. But one news report mentioned this: Meanwhile, Jamie Rohrs, Legarretas’ boyfriend, was nowhere to be found. He fled the scene after hiding the baby under a seat near his girlfriend after jumping over the balcony and running around. He told TV cameras that when Ethan began crying, his first thought was that the gunman would come and get him, so he put his child on the floor and left the three people he loves the most to be saved by a total and complete stranger. (source) He ran, left his kids and girlfriend… … and he let a stranger protect them. Hours later, he proposed to her and she accepted it. *blinks* Anyway, the hero was confident and humbled during his interviews. Something that isn’t true for the boyfriend.
